So. ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) djturtle18 and I have agreed to organize the Portland outpost of this year's Thrill the World! We have a venue; we're going to turn it into a charity event, with donations to benefit gblt teens; and we're putting together a team of volunteers and "team leaders" (folks who can learn the dance ahead of time and teach it to participants on the actual day).
I'm excited! I'm nervous, too. This is a heckuva production to throw together, with a whole slew of regulations (to make it a Guiness event, etc) and complications. We're gonna pull it off, though. It's gonna be great.

Hey, any chance you have an mp3 of the song Mame that you can send my way?
I thought I did, but, I can't find it. Is there one in particular you're looking for? I just downloaded one by the Ada Mansell Orchestra, but, if it were for me, I would want one from a particular production.
I guess I'm looking for the movie soundtrack version. Usually I can find *anything* I want on soulsekk, no matter how obscure (except this one version of Perfidia I used to hear on the radio, on a station that went off the air), but I can't find even a single version of Mame through it this morning! And I really wanna hear it.
I'm not having any luck either. :(

You totally can!
All you gotta do is put together a group of people who want to do it and throw it down in your hometown, or somewhere nearby.
Two months is a reasonable amount of time for setting it up.
All you gotta do is let that crazy Thrill the World bug get so stuck in your brain that you wanna go all out for it...

Awww.... You will.
There's no way in hell this will break the record - the record for the most # of people doing the same dance at the same time is one hundred and ninety seven thousand people - so I feel absolutely certain this will be a yearly event.
Next year in the Pacific Northwest!
