Lavendar lemonade? is that good? Right now we have fresh cherry lemonade for $4 for a small glass of it and it isn't very good.
Yea, people love it. We soak the lavender in hot water for a little while (more lavender, less time seems to be better) and add honey and lemons. We sell it like crazy, and only an occasional person says, ew, I didn't mean to order this.
Someone (customer) asked me tonight what kind of lavender we used, and she started naming off varieties (I almost typed 'brands'). I blinked and said, "whatever grows on the side of the road."
P.s. that sucks about your hand. Was it the hand you masturbate with or are you OK?
I was on my way to the library (where I am now) after posting this and I thought, who is going to be the first to ask me if it's my masturbating hand? It is *not* that hand, whew!
I am glad I was the first

The only time I was ever badly stung was during a kibbutz lavender crop harvest. Are you allergic? Has it already subsided, I hope? Riding a bike with one hand, maybe, but presumably your job requires two functional hands, n'est-ce pas? I broke my left big toe just after Shabbat tonight and it turned, well, lavender!

That's funny. Lavender and bees definitely go, um, hand-in-hand. I've been stung by (guessing) six dozen bees in my lifetime so far, so I'm (almost) used to it. I ran into a bush as a kid that had a hive in it; that counted for thirty-odd of the stings. (It was a summer camp, I had wandered away from a camp assembly to pursue my own activities, ran into the bush, then ran screaming through the assembly with bees chasing me. It's pretty funny to think back on.) Lucky my hand didn't hurt much at all after a little while, though it's still swollen with a hole in the skin.
Ouch! Your toe! What happened?

You're a trouper! I just posted an account of my toe tragedy. Of course, I might just have gotten out on the wrong side of the bed a little too suddenly...

nir has a great rainbow flag/star of david icon that i stole as my myspace 'picture'....
Poor heddahand! do you want me to kiss it and make it all better?
*smooooooch*
Less harrassing bees, more snuggling!
ryan and i are kissing your hand better.
you all are sweet. :) listen, kate (while you're here, heh)- i think the TTW people have no idea what they're doing. I emailed them to say: hey, if this is a simultaneous gig, what TIME is it happening so we can start to figure out what we're doing? I never received a reply. I think we have to start to assume that TTW is a non-starter, and think about what we want to do with the idea. I also think given that we don't have a venue (and may not be able to secure a decent Saturday-before-Halloween venue of any sort) we should sit down, figure out what we like about the original TTW idea, and see if we can make it happen some other way. That's what I'm thinkin right now. I know for one, as someone who loves to dance and who loves to learn dance, but is, obviously, an utter amateur, that that is core-central to what attracts me to the idea. So. That's my starting point. :) Happy rest of your weekend!
okey dokey pokey, i have the news on the TTW. call me when you've got a free bit. we can meet for a soak in the ole hot tub, or for tea, or for anything anywhere!
well, i think ryan and i are going to the gym tonight if you want to meet up there. not sure what time. either way, gimme a call.
aw, good for you guys. the later the better if it's hot out, it gets so hot inside that building, with everyone pumping and sweating and...
unfortunately i'm prolly goin to bed @ dinner time. i have to reset my sleep schedule for realz. i will call you this weekend though...
Lavender Tea does not sound to good. Thats not to say I wouldnt try it. It just sounds odd. I will try most anything once. It's like the time I had cow tounge, i knew i wouldnt like it but i just had to try it. How many times can the food you are eating taste you back.. Not many... Yeah, it was much worse than I expected it to be.... LOL
oh hell no, i would not eat a tongue of any kind. *shudders*
stop by rimsky's and try the lavender lemonade. ask for hedda, and it's on the house.
yuk allergic to bees pain
*hugs*
Oh noes!!! Of all the awkward places to get stung. I stepped on a bee once. Also awkward. As for lavender lemonade, it sounds delicious. I make lavender margaritas (not wholly dissimilar, right?) using a syrup that technomanmt made and they are WAY yummy.
'lavender margaritas' sounds SO GOOD.
They are. You would love them. They would make you forget all about your bee sting. ;)
Poor bee. Let's have a moment for the bee that died. They've been having problems the last few years. I hope you heal soon.
i like to think of your cute hand stung and the noise you made when you got stung. :) mississippi fair on sat?
I think that sounds lovely.
one notes that in recent comments you have referred to my "cute fingers" and "cute hand." :)
well i am very fond of both. soft silky hair, no hard or cracked fingernails, round and squishy warm...whats not to love. |
